How I work

A Collaborative, Material-Led Process. Every project begins with a conversation. I work with clients to explore the vision, scope, and practical requirements. This is also our first introduction, a chance to get to know each other and discuss ideas openly. The more specific you can be about style, dimensions, materials, and preferences, the better I can guide the process and translate your concept into stone.

I guide decisions around material, scale, form, and finish to ensure each piece is carefully resolved, respecting both the character of the stone and the functional needs of the project. 

Phases of a Project

1. Concept & Discussion

We meet (in person or virtually) to discuss your ideas and vision.

This is as much about understanding each other as it is about the project.

The more precise you are; measurements, colours, finishes, and references the more accurately I can create what you want.

2. Quote & Agreement

Projects generally start at £10,000.

A clear, written quote is provided for approval.

Changes after approval may incur additional costs.

3. Payments

50% upfront to begin work.

Remaining payments are structured in stages of work or as reminders before the piece leaves the workshop.

4. Creation & Refinement

Each piece is carefully carved and shaped from raw stone, with every cut, curve, and surface refined by hand to enhance both its form and function. 

Adjustments are made in the workshop; once a piece leaves, modifications are limited.

5. Delivery & Shipping

Delivery and shipping are arranged separately and are independent of the workshop.

I can coordinate the process, but the logistics are handled by the shipping provider.
