Hello, I’m Jack, a stone carver and sculptor from Northern England.
I grew up around stone. My father was a stonemason, and from an early age I was exposed to the discipline, patience, and physicality of the craft. I trained and studied in the historic city of York, grounding my practice in traditional architectural stone carving before developing my own approach.
In 2012, I began travelling extensively, working, learning, and refining my craft across different places and cultural traditions. That period shaped how I work today, valuing material honesty, restraint, and a deep respect for process.
My work exists at the intersection of sculpture, function, and architecture. Using raw, natural materials like stone and marble, I create pieces that are as enduring as they are expressive. I am drawn to the character, weight, and inherent imperfections of each block, letting its qualities guide the final form. Every project is unique, shaped by both the material and the process.
I work collaboratively with clients, translating clear ideas into refined, finished stonework. Every project is sourced, carved, and finalised in workshop, where craftsmanship and clarity are central.
